Kimi K3.1 Pro enters the Intelligence Index at No. 4, at $2 per million tokens
Scored at 55 by Artificial Analysis, the model combines a top-tier ranking with aggressive pricing. Its weights are promised by November 4.

Launched on October 23, Kimi K3.1 Pro has climbed to 4th place in the Intelligence Index from Artificial Analysis, with a score of 55. This aggregate ranking, calculated by a third party, has the advantage of not depending on figures chosen by the developer.
A price that changes the equation
The model is billed at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. For a model ranked among the top four, that is aggressive positioning: high-volume applications, such as agents that run long sessions back to back or document processing, are the ones where the per-token price weighs most heavily on the bill.
Weights promised, not yet released
The developer says the model weights will be released by November 4. If that promise is kept, K3.1 Pro would become one of the highest-ranked open models, downloadable and self-hostable. For now it is only a commitment: we will check when the deadline arrives.
Our take
A model that is highly ranked, cheap and promised with open weights would put direct pressure on the pricing of closed models. But an aggregate score does not tell the whole story: before migrating, test it on your own tasks, especially in languages other than English.
